This blog has been full of talk about the woes of Liverpool recently, and so it was a welcome relief to see then soundly defeat Man United today. Fernando Torres ran his battered frame through the United defense to score in the second half, and substitute Ngog made his mark with a goal in stoppage time to take the pressure off a game which looked as if it could be another example of United's knack for scoring late. The win meant Liverpool moves just one spot outside of the top four, and Man U moves to second behind Chelsea, right where they belong. Also the victory undoubtedly took the pressure off Rafa, whose neck was rumored to be dependent on the outcome today, at least for a bit.
