Argentina has qualified for the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Uruguay. That scoreline flatters them, the game should've been a draw, but Caceres of Uruguay got sent off and then Argentina scored on a deflected free kick. Even so, a draw would have also put them through. It is probably no surprise that they qualified in the end with the talented players they have. However, I predict they will not get far in the World Cup because of Maradona's ineptitude. For example, in the 89th minute of this game, Maradona put on Carlos Tevez for Lionel Messi. Tevez is a pure striker while Messi is more of a rover, and his team was trying to nurse a 1-0 lead! That substitution makes absolutely no sense, and that type of coaching is why Argentina will be out early in the World Cup.
